Beau Stedman was a golfing prodigy, a preturnaturally-gifted teenager who played for a few glorious years and then dropped out of sight. Young law intern Charley Hunter has never heard of Stedman, until he stumbles across an old correspondence file between the golfer and a former partner at the firm. As Charley reads, he becomes fascinated and then appalled, for he realizes that the file hints at a terrible mystery--possibly even a murder.
